Declaration of Interdependance
Our Purpose
To work together in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (John 13:34-35) by utilising our differences in a stategic partnership to see a healthy city church grow through life-giving local churches.
Our Core Values
- We value church growth by conversion.
- We value doing together what we cannot do alone.
- We value our differences as strengths.
- We value meeting the whole person's needs through life-giving local churches.
Our Absolutes
- We believe that the Bible is our sole source of authority for faith and practice.
- We believe in the person and work of Jesus Christ:
- Fully God
- Fully Man
- for full salvation as Lord and Saviour.
- We believe in the permanent presence of the Holy Spririt as the basis for empowered ministry.
Our Objectives
To Pray Together
A committment to build a firm relational and city-wide prayer base that reflects our common heart.
To Grow Together
A committment to see the Church in the region grow spiritually; connect and grow relationally; grow numerically, and impact the region through acts of Christian service.
To Win Together
That every man, woman and child would have the opportunity to hear, understand and to accept or reject the good news of Jesus Christ. To see a 1% per annum city-wide growth in church attendance i.e. average of 15 people per year per church.
To Build Together
That each new Christian has the opportunity:
- To be incorporated into a local group of believers.
- To be where they are nurtured in their intimacy with Christ in this local group.
- To be helped to discover their calling and spiritual giftedness.
- To be empowered into works of Christian service in the world.
To Bring Social Transformation Together
That Christians permeate and influence every sphere of public life within this region; in particular - local Government, police, media and family life, leading to a strengthening of biblical and family values and a decrease of crime and other social evils across the region.
